Set your desired cooking temperature in 5 degreee incriments and use up to three meat/temperature probes. When your food reaches the programmed probe temperature, an audible alarm lets you know that the food is done. For more advanced grilling you can create custom cooking programs which change the pit temperature using pre-set meat probe temperatures or by time. The Pellet Boss® also lets you set elapsed time or countdown timers with audible alerts.    Here is one of many examples of a user program!
   You want to cook a whole turkey and you want to eat at 3:00 PM.
   You can set the PELLET BOSS to cook the turkey at 300 degrees until Meat Probe #1 reaches 180 degrees (optimal temperature in the thigh of the turkey), then have the grill automatically switch to 200 degrees to "hold" the turkey and not over cook it until you pull it off at 3:00 PM. Meanwhile you can visit with friends & family instead of stressing about the grill!
